Fidelis Care Achieves NCQA Health Plan Accreditation

Fidelis Care is pleased to announce that they have received full, three-year Accreditation from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA).

“Achieving NCQA Accreditation is a direct result of Fidelis Care’s ongoing commitment to quality care and service for members,” said CEO Rev. Patrick J. Frawley. “We are pleased to earn this national distinction, and to recognize the work of our more than 4,000 employees who each contributed to this achievement, and continue to put the health, wellness, and satisfaction of our members first, every day.”

The Accreditation, which is for Medicaid (HMO), Medicare Advantage/Dual Advantage (HMO/POS), and Qualified Health Plans (HMO) through the NY State of Health Marketplace, comes following a two-day onsite survey in early December. As demonstration of our commitment to quality care for members, achieving NCQA Accreditation was identified as one of Fidelis Care’s core strategic initiatives, and has been an organizational focus for the past two years. Fidelis Care received Interim Accreditation status in July 2016.

“Teams from many departments worked continuously to develop and implement improvements to our processes,” said Carey Shoemaker, VP, Provider Relations. “The commitment shown by all involved has been well reflected in the feedback and results we received from NCQA.”

Accreditation is a company-wide achievement.


Tom Casey Receives Edward Jones Award for Exceptional Achievement in Building Client Relationships

Mahopac, N.Y. (June 27, 2017) – Tom Casey of the financial services firm Edward Jones in Mahopac recently won the firm’s Ted Jones Entrepreneurial Award for hisexceptional achievement in building client relationships.

“The success of Tom hinges on his ability to know and understand the financial needs and goals of his clients, long-term individual investors,” said Jim Weddle, the firm’s managing partner. “Our clients most appreciate recommendations tailored to their situations and the high level of personal service Tom provides.”

Casey was one of 831 of the firm’s more than 15,000 financial advisors to receive the Ted Jones Entrepreneurial Award.

The award is named after Ted Jones, the son of the firm’s founder. He became the firm’s 18th financial advisor in 1948 and served as managing partner from 1960 to 1980. Ted Jones saw the opportunity to serve individual investors in communities across the country and designed the one-financial advisor branch business model. He valued the concept of partnership so much so that he provided ownership opportunities for associates to share in the firm’s success, a practice still alive today.

Mahopac, N.Y. (June  15th, 2017) – Lawley, one of the largest independent insurance brokers in the United States according to Business Insurance, expanded its presence in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut with the partnership of employee benefits broker MAC Creative Plan Solutions, located in Mahopac, NY.
